The Redwood Community Action Agency (RCAA) worked with City of Rio Dell, GHD engineers. and Rio Dell Schools on the Eel River Trail project! We celebrated the completion of the project yesterday.

Our kindergarten classes were so lucky to spend part of the day at the Foggy Bottoms Farm and for Cody & Thomas Nicholson Stratton's time and knowledge. We met animals, learned about milking cows, egg washing, and so much more! We also got to visit Jersey Scoops for ice cream. Wow! What a day we had!

We’re proud to share that the Rio Dell Police Department, in collaboration with the Rio Dell Community Resource Center, will be launching the Blue Envelope Program — with a target launch date in early June 2025!
💙 The Blue Envelope Program is a compassionate, safety-focused initiative designed to assist individuals with autism, developmental delays, or physical impairments during interactions with law enforcement and emergency medical services (EMS).
This voluntary, non-registry program empowers individuals and families with resources to help create calmer, more informed interactions in situations that can sometimes be overwhelming or misunderstood.
Participants will receive: ✅ A Blue Envelope containing ID and communication guidance
✅ Information to help first responders understand individual needs
✅ Visible swag such as vehicle decals, wallet cards, and lanyards to signal program participation and prompt a supportive response
Whether it’s a traffic stop or a medical emergency, the Blue Envelope Program is about mutual understanding and respect — helping first responders deliver better service tailored to unique needs.
